DAY 2

Your first full day in Tanzania kicks off with a hearty breakfast at the lodge, fueling you for an exciting and busy first day. We’ll begin with a scenic drive to the Chemka Hot Springs, a hidden gem nestled in the African bush. After that, it’s time for a coffee tour at a local plantation. You’ll get an insider’s look at how Tanzanian coffee is grown, harvested, and roasted, with a chance to sample some of the best coffee you’ve ever tasted, all while learning about the region’s rich coffee culture.

But the excitement doesn’t stop there! We will hit the road again and make our way toward Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s most stunning wildlife destinations. The park is renowned for its iconic baobab trees and vast elephant herds, and as you embark on a game drive, you’ll feel the thrill of spotting zebras, giraffes, and maybe even a lion or two roaming freely. After an exhilarating afternoon of safari, you’ll continue on to Karatu, where you’ll check into the serene Lake Manyara Lodge—a peaceful retreat after a day of adventure. Spend the evening soaking in the calm atmosphere of the lodge, relax by the pool or take in the views of the surrounding hills, before enjoying a delicious Tanzanian dinner to end your action-packed day.

Day 3

Starting our day bright and early with breakfast, we will embark on the journey to the Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most iconic safari destinations. As you descend into the crater, the vast expanse of wildlife and stunning landscapes will unfold before you. Spend the day exploring this unique ecosystem, where you can encounter the Big Five—lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and rhinos—as well as a rich variety of birds and other wildlife.

For lunch, we’ll enjoy a picnic in the heart of the crater, surrounded by nature and the sounds of wildlife all around you—a truly unforgettable experience. As the day winds down, we’ll head back to the lodge in the evening. With the day’s adventures behind you, the group will have the evening to relax, recharge, and enjoy a peaceful dinner, ready for what’s next on our Tanzanian journey.

Day 4

Our day will start off with breakfast, followed by check-out as we prepare for an exciting new chapter of the trip. The group will kick off the day with a Maasai Village tour, where you’ll immerse yourself in the vibrant culture and traditions of the Maasai people. It’s an incredible opportunity to learn about their way of life, from their rituals to their daily practices, and even interact with the locals.

Next, it’s time to say goodbye to the mainland as we head to the airport for our flight to Zanzibar. After arriving, we’ll check into your accommodation in Stone Town, the heart of Zanzibar’s rich history and culture. Settle in and refresh before heading to the Emerson on Hurumzi Rooftop for a drink/food with a view. The rooftop offers breathtaking panoramic vistas of Stone Town and the Indian Ocean, a perfect spot to unwind after the journey.

After soaking in the views, we’ll get to take a stroll around Stone Town, winding through its narrow alleys and admiring the unique blend of Swahili, Arab, Indian, and European architecture. While we’re there, we’ll make sure to stop by the Jumping Boys, a popular spot where local boys leap into the ocean from the cliffs below. In the evening, we can head to the Night Food Market, where the vibrant aromas of grilled seafood, spices, and local delicacies will tempt you at every corner. It’s the perfect way to end a day of exploration, with the hustle and bustle of the market providing a lively introduction to Zanzibar’s unique charm.

Day 5

After breakfast, we’ll check out of our accommodations in Stone Town and set out for a full day of exploration and discovery on Zanzibar’s beautiful coastline. Our first stop is the Nakupenda Island Tour, a breathtaking experience that takes you to a pristine sandbank surrounded by turquoise waters. Here, you’ll have time to swim, and relax in paradise. Along the way, we’ll have some refreshing fruits and a delicious lunch featuring local flavors, ensuring you stay energized for the day ahead.

Next, we’ll visit Prison Island, a small yet historic island rich in stories and home to the famous giant tortoises. You’ll have the chance to get up close with these gentle creatures while learning about the island’s past and its unique role in Zanzibar’s history.

After an unforgettable day on the islands, we’ll make our way to Paje, a picturesque beach town on Zanzibar’s eastern coast. Upon arrival, you’ll check into a charming beachfront boutique hotel, where the sound of the waves and stunning ocean views create the perfect backdrop for relaxation.

The rest of the evening is yours to unwind. Take a leisurely stroll along the beach, enjoy the tranquil atmosphere, or simply rest and recharge. For dinner, we’ll head to a local authentic restaurant, where you’ll savor the rich and flavorful dishes Zanzibar is known for. This is the perfect way to end the day—good food, great company, and the sound of the ocean nearby.

Day 6 & 7

After several exciting days of adventure, the next two days are all about relaxing and unwinding by the beach. Starting our days off with a leisurely breakfast, then head to the soft, white sands of Paje Beach. Spend the next two days soaking up the sun with a coconut in hand, swimming in the crystal-clear blue waters, or simply chilling out with your feet dipped in the hotel pool—this is your time to recharge and enjoy the beauty of Zanzibar’s stunning coastline.

For those looking to add a bit of excitement to the day, there are optional extra excursions available at your own cost, such as jet skiing, kite surfing, and other water activities.

For lunch and dinners, we’ll venture off to local and authentic spots near the beach, where you’ll have the chance to enjoy fresh, delicious dishes while overlooking the ocean.

For those interested, the evenings are open for exploring Zanzibar’s local nightlife. Whether you’re looking to enjoy a cocktail by the sea or dance the night away at a lively spot, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. There are several spots where you can enjoy a drink, mingle with locals, and experience the vibrant atmosphere. Feel free to join in, or simply relax at the hotel—either way, it’s all about having a great time and enjoying the moment.

Day 8

After breakfast, we’ll check out of our hotel in Paje and head north to the beautiful area of Nungwi. Known for its stunning beaches and tranquil vibes, Nungwi offers a perfect blend of relaxation and beauty. Upon arrival, we’ll check into our boutique hotel accommodations, where you’ll settle in and have some time to unwind.

In the afternoon, you’ll have the chance to relax on the beach, soak up the sun, or swim in the crystal-clear waters. Nungwi’s pristine coastline provides the perfect setting for a peaceful afternoon of rest and enjoyment.

As the evening approaches, we’ll set sail on a sunset dhow cruise. A dhow is a traditional wooden boat, used by fishermen and travelers for centuries along the coast of East Africa. During this unforgettable cruise, you’ll be treated to the beauty of the coastline as the sun sets, while enjoying the rhythms of local drumming and African music. This immersive experience adds a cultural touch to the serene surroundings, creating an atmosphere of joy and connection. After the cruise, we’ll head to a local restaurant for a delicious dinner, where you can savor fresh local cuisine.

After dinner, we’ll head to Coco-belo, one of Nungwi’s most popular spots for nightlife. Cocobello is more than just a bar—it’s a vibrant cultural venue that hosts performances by The Freedom Dancers, a talented group known for their energetic and captivating displays of traditional African dance. The Freedom Dancers showcase unique dance styles from various African cultures, bringing local rhythms, storytelling, and vibrant costumes to life. It’s an incredible opportunity to immerse yourself in the rich cultural heritage of Zanzibar, all while enjoying tropical cocktails and the lively atmosphere of Nungwi. Whether you’re dancing along or simply enjoying the performance, Coco-belo offers an unforgettable evening.

Here, we’ll spend time volunteering in various ways, such as helping with local projects, interacting with the children, and contributing to the community’s development. This is a unique opportunity to make a positive impact while connecting with the locals and learning more about their daily lives. We’ll have lunch with the kids, sharing a meal, making meaningful connections and creating lasting memories together.

In the evening, we’ll gather for not a goodbye dinner but a “see you later” to reflect on our unforgettable journey. We’ll toast to the friendships made, the adventures shared, the lasting memories and impact we’ve created throughout our time in Tanzania.

Day 10: Departure Day

After breakfast, we’ll check out of our hotel in Nungwi and begin our journey to the Zanzibar airport. As we make our way to the airport, it will be a time to reflect on the incredible experiences and memories we’ve shared over the past days.
