ZANZIBAR FOOD EXPERIENCE

We are excited to take you to ZANZIBAR with Kosi from @nigerianfoodhub, from Canada to Zanzibar. You will get a chance to explore Zanzibar best cuisines and have a cooking session.

Did you know Zanzibar was also known as the Spice Island? You will get to see how the spices are grown and try them, you will then visit the farm to food experience, explore the beach and sunset and have the time of your life.

Zanzibar World-famous, known for its iconic location, fabulous food and character. Inspired by natural resources, a strong twist of Zanzibar, and mountains of Italian love. What better way to travel for food!

ARRIVALS

Pick up from the airport or Ferry and transfer to the hotel to relax and change after a long flight.

 DAY 1:- MNEMBA SNORKELING 

This is a morning excursion, the main attraction of the Dolphin Tour in Zanzibar being able to swim close to the dolphins, actually it’s swimming with the dolphins. Being very social themselves you can even get to play with them. 

Dolphins are known for being friendly, but they are wild animals that should be treated with caution and respect. Interactions with people change dolphin behavior for the worse. They lose their natural wariness, which makes them easy targets for vandalism and shark attacks. These dolphins you are visiting are not in captivity or tamed so it is important to take precaution. 

Included : We will spend lunch at a local farm where we will have a day that we can all get to see how to eat organically and also cook organically using farm food.

SUNSET DHOW CRUISE 

This trip starts from Nungwi, where we will take a Dhow and cruise around Nungwi to Kilindi. While Cruising during the Sunset we don’t use engines, instead we will just Sail slowly while enjoying the best views of the Sunset. You will get a chance to take beautiful pictures of the Sunset. 

DAY 2:- SPICE TOUR

Experience the world of tropical fruits and spices. Zanzibar is also known as the “Spice Island” due to the variety of spices grown. Together with our expert local tour Guide, we will guide you along an approximate 2 hours walking trip. You will enjoy a unique rainforest nature with lots of tropical plants, trees and spices. Experience, taste and smell different spices that are grown in Zanzibar Islands such as Turmeric, Cardamom, Cinnamon, Black Peppers, Cloves,Nutmegs, and so on. At the end of this tour, you will also be able to do Spice shopping at the Spice farm. Today we will get to cook with the local spices and also learn how Swahili women get to do their activities.

Included:  Lunch at the spice farm, we will learn how to use various spices and eat local dishes that are Zanzibar .

DAY 4 :THE ROCK RESTAURANT

World-famous, known for its iconic location, fabulous food and character. Inspired by natural resources, a strong twist of Zanzibar, and mountains of Italian love. The south-east coastline of Zanzibar is recognized as among the most beautiful in east Africa, and provides the stage for an extraordinary experience. 

Today we will pack everything and head off to for swimming with turtles then head for Lunch at the rock restaurant, where everyone will pay for their meals and take cute but beautiful pictures. Then we will head to our hotel in Stone town to spend the night there.

DAY 5: STONE TOWN & NAKUPENDA ISLAND

The Stone Town of Zanzibar is a fine example of the Swahili coastal trading towns of East Africa. It retains its urban fabric and towns cape virtually intact and contains many fine buildings that reflect its particular cultures of Africa, the Arab region, India, and Europe over more than a millennium. 

In this world heritage site you will learn the culture and rich history of Zanzibar from slave trade.
